Also, since she wrote a book called _Godless_ , one would assume that she is not godless. I wonder what church she attends. Not is she Episcopalian or Lutheran or Baptist. What church does she attend every Sunday? On what committee does she serve? Does she help arrange for food to be delivered to those who are recently out of the hospital? Does she sew the paraments for the altar? Does she help the Trustees choose the color of the new carpet and whether or not to put wood on the chancel floor? Does she help that girl who decided to have her baby instead of an abortion? That girl needs a place to live. She needs help raising her baby. That girl needs people to stand up with her when she gets her baby baptized. Because, clearly, Anne is super-involved in a church somewhere. Oh yeah, she doesn’t want to convert by kindness, she wants to convert by force. ---

Why is this about 9/11 widows? Were only men killed in the 9/11 incidents? Didn’t some of the women killed have husbands? Is there a particular group out there that calls itself “the 9/11 widows” that Coulter is talking about? ---

I don’t know if there is an official organization, but some of the widows have become active in politics, at least in terms of supporting certain candidates. I’m not sure all of them have supported “liberals”, btw. But I’m not aware of many men who have similarly become involved. I also supsect that making her targets women gives Coulter an added boost with her selected audience. Politically active women = radical feminists in some people’s minds. ---

I’m a conservative leaning moderate and I think Ann Coulter is wombat-shit crazy. My standard line, when describing hpw crazy she is, is to say that she makes Michael Moore sound like a reasoned moderate. If I think of a continuum of media pundits, Ann is way out on the right side jumping up and down and shrieking like the scary idiot she is. Rush Limbaugh is a bit down the scale from Ann, and balanced by Michael Moore on the left side. There is nobody balancing Ann on the left, IMO. I read through those columns by Ted Rall, and, IMO, he is not, based on those columns anyway, Ann’s equal. Unless Rall has said something as mind-boggling as the quote by Ann that I always use to illustrate her lunacy (“We should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity.”) I’ve heard a quote or two from less well-known lefties that approach this craziness, but those lefties (the ones I am thinking of are all ivory tower types) don’t have Ann’s media prominence. Our Ann really stands alone, bless her crazy little heart. I have read her previous books, BTW – and appreciated them for the entertainment factor (“Wow! Did she just _say_ that?”), but I won’t be reading this one. A quick glance at the bookstore was all it took to convince me that the irritation would far outweigh the entertainment. ---
