He is a riot, though I wouldn’t quite call him a one-shot character, as the entire Waterfall family of one-shot appearances apiece is something of a running gag. Like this Waterfall appearance from The Problem with Popplers: “We taught a lion to eat tofu!” (lion looks extremely unhealthy) “You can’t own property, man!” (Professor Farnsworth: ) “No, _you_ can’t, because you’re a penniless, filthy hippie!” “Don’t eat that! It’s an ape! Don’t kill one of nature’s beautiful creatures!” (Zapp Brannigan: ) “You fool! You’d kill a beautiful woman to save a moderately attractive monkey?” ---

One of the first episodes that I saw since Futurama moved to Comedy Central was The Deep South. One of the professors classic quotes was uttered without the silly censoring that plagued Cartoon Network - “Sweet Zombie Jesus”. All is right in the world again. ---
