Iām just pissed that I didnāt get to see it on television, since Iām at work. Although there is a certain old-time charm to listening to the Yankees win the 'Series on the radio (even if the radio is streaming over the internet).
What an impressive effing team. They make me proud to be a fan.

Hey, according to more than a few people, the Yankees _were_ the underdog. The word on the street was the Mets want it more, the Yanks lost their touch, the magic years are over, and my favorite: who let the Mets out?. Didnāt some writer from the _Post_ predict the Yanks would be ousted by the Aās in three games?
I remember sometime in the eighties, smack dab in the lean years for Yankee fans, my brother was ten or so. He got really upset over a losing streak and said ājust once in my life I want to see The Yanks win a World Series.ā Now heās in the some of the best years of his life watching the Yankee organization in some of the best years of _its_ life. By suffering thru the tougher times, he was able to observe the evolution of a dynasty.
There are people who will always hate the Yankees. There are people who will always hate New York.
I invite them to get bent.
New York rules.

Iām sorry, I meant Yankees in 5.
Seriously, folks, Iām bummed, but still proud of the Mets. They just beat themselves, thatās all. And thatās the saddest thing to me. They coulda at least split the first 2, but they did themselves in. Still, the games were all low-scoring close ones, and thatās an indication of the caliber of play on both sides. I hate seeing 6-run margins of victory.
Well, wait till next year.
One Yankee joke? Please?
I thought for sure Clemens would win the MVP. What? You mean MVP doesnāt stand for Most Violent Player?

Here we are on Friday morning, the day after the night that the best team in baseball received its trophy.
The city hasnāt burned, but then we knew it wouldnāt. How can a city with both the Yanks and the Mets behave with anything but tact and grace?
I was wondering, does anybody know or have a link to the T.V. ratings?
