Well, the subject may be a little hypocritical coming from an atheist, but it sounded right. Whoever hacked this place needs a good cockpunching. I had to wait and wait without my SDMB addiction for all that time and I began to…get…a LIFE! Luckily, that “life” is now leaving me as I return to my natural habitat. I’m still pissed because my post count is about a fifth of what it was before. Motherfucking hackers. ---

I have been registered here since December of 2000, and a lurker for even longer. After reading the OP I decided to check my own post count, and was speechless to see that my current post count is below 40! I had almost hit 100, yes, laugh if you will, but I was posting more and coming out of my shell. Now, I have to make up about 50 posts to get where I was, so proud to be, before. What makes things worse? This is my first post in The Pit, EVER, and it is really lame. ---

It’s not the reduction in my total post count that I resent, but the complete loss of EVERY THREAD started on this board after December 7, many of which I had been faithfully reading and was looking forward to posting in once the board was back in service. May the scum who crashed our server roast on a spit - slowly - in the hottest fires of Hell; on behalf of all the Dopers whose posts were lost in the server crash, I’ll gladly provide the BBQ sauce. artemis ---

Please excuse me for asking a dumb question, but would it be possible to find the hackers? I suppose suing them for all they’re worth could be an option. I was under the impression that the process of tracking these pieces of filth would be more trouble and expense than they’re worth. ---
