I’m cold. No, I’m not just cold, I am freezing. It’s 20 degrees outside, yet here inside at work, the air vent over my head is blowing COLD AIR. I can’t feel my hands, and my back hurts from shivering. I’m contemplating setting all flammable material in my cube ablaze. Hell, I’m the ONLY one here today, no one would notice… Someone! Bring me some gloves! Or soup! Or body heat!!! ---

Heehee… ok laughing is good. Laughing made me a tiny bit warmer. Thanks Twisty! Good news! Since the stock market closes at 1 today (I do QA for an investment firm… zzzz… boring) we can go home at 2! Unless I die of hypothermia first. Which is looking more and more likely as the minutes wear on… ---

Hmm… you know, I was just thinking that whiskey might work! Except I weigh all of like 100 lbs and would fall out of my chair after 2 shots of whiskey. Though I wouldn’t notice the cold, would I? Maybe I can trade my plane tickets to California for Wednesday in and leave TODAY… ---

Silly question: Have you looked for the thermostat? If on one else is around then just turn that sucker up til you feel warm and toasty. Unless, of course, it’s one of those electronic models that require a code to make adjustments… Good luck! May 2:00 arrive sooner than you expect. Although, if I’m not mistaken, in Sci-Fi movies the cold always slows things down. Hmm… Oh well, good luck! ---

el\_mono, you are SO right about the cold slowing things down. I am moving at negative warp speed. And yeah, the thermostat is one of those code-protected high tech newfangled thingies. I’m afraid They will come after me if I even attempt to fiddle with it! I’m so cold I could cry, except it’d freeze! Do NOT lick the metal shelving… 😉 ---

Rasa, do you have a coffee pot there? Fill it with a batch of hot water (or, if you prefer, make a pot of coffee) and then , while sitting, hold the pot between your legs just aft of your knees. I guarantee that will warm you. ---
