**KidCharlemagne** , the only signal a Spanish retreat from Iraq sends, is that Spanish troops should not have been over there in the first place, as 90% of the Spanish people were vehemently against it. As for what Al Queda makes of it: fundamentalist terrorists do not need to find a legitimate reason for their violence. And we don’t need to worry about providing them with one. By definition, their actions are disproportionate to the goals they aim to achieve. ---
