Eh, it’s not so much the phrase I object to–I know the board’s going to go through cycles where people think certain things are funny. No skin off my nose. But it starts to annoy me when I see the SAME joke over and over again from the SAME person and I’m expected to think it’s new and creative or something. ---

Has DreadCthulhu posted hot pics of herself or something, because it seems that a lot of people are inexplicably copying this 1920s death ray foolishness. Having it come up twice would have been funny. Anything more is unfunny to anyone but the perpetrators. ---

It’s not so much that the joke has run it’s course, is overused, and is no longer funny, its use invariably hijacks otherwise interesting threads. This goes for variations on the joke, as well. Occasional references might be mildly amusing, in the future. It’s too early to tell, though, since the ground is saturated with that reference, and it’s still raining. ---
