I heard a song on the radio the other day and it was just utterly terrible and generic and I wondered who it could be. Then the announcer said that it was Coldplay, and it’s like, I wasn’t surprised, but I was kind of amazed at how consistently bland and awful they are. Like, not one song is good. Almost every rock band that’s had a few albums, especially the very popular ones, has had at least _something_ that’s relatively listenable to me, but not Coldplay. Not ever. I fully endorse this Pitting. ---

Yeah, for real. For some reason Pandora thinks I should really like Coldplay because they come up on my playlist all the time. But they _suck_. I don’t see how they have any fans outside of the 13 year old lesbian crowd, but somehow they got world famous!? Ah well, it takes all kinds, I suppose. ---

I must be blessed or something, I am only aware of Coldplay from the “they suck so much” that I hear/see and I think Coldplay-boy is married to Gwen Stephani (who is screaming hot but needs to shoot the blind idiot that dresses her). Unclviny ---

My wife was watching the 60 Minutes story about Coldplay tonight and at one point Steve Kroft said something like “Besides being in one of the world’s biggest bands, Martin is also married to one of the most beautiful women in the world.” And I yelled from the other room “I thought he was married to Gwyneth Paltrow!” ---
