Can I just say I _loathe_ The Todd? Any other halfway decent hospital he’d be sued for sexual harrassment six ways to Sunday. I know he’s supposed to be funny, but he’s such a one-note tool (heh) and I get tired of it. ---

I also particularly like the music selections they use in the show. They pick songs just work wonderfully with the themes going on in the shows, and it’s introduced me to some really cool music that I probably wouldn’t have found otherwise. The episode you referred to above uses “Winter” by Josh Radin as the closing song. And another episode later on (the one where J.D. was tempted by Heather Graham’s character coming back, though he was dating Kylie at the time) used “Closer”, also by Radin. Both are wonderful songs. ---

Love any Brendan Fraser sighting, and the first of the Michael J Fox episodes. But my all-time favorite line is Eliot’s, from when she got the reputation as a slut, and started glorying in it. It’s something like: “So she asked me my ten favorite positions for sex, and I named the two I know, and then just started naming insects.” ---

[/QUOTE] He’s not really funny anymore, but I liked the early episode about his painful high-fives, and I think it’s funny that on the surgery schedule on the whiteboard he’s actually listed as “The Todd”. ---

Face Five!” Then there’s the “Sterile Five” And I love the fact that he’s a better surgeon than Turk (at least dexterity-wise). ---

[/QUOTE] There was another episode where the head surgeon even called him “The Todd”, when talking to Turk about him. I thought that was funny, that it’s basically how everyone refers to him. I love the Janitor. The best was when he pretended to be a doctor for his kid’s career day at school or whatever. “I’m Dr. Jan Itor”. ---

The best The Todd moment was in the “My Best Moment” episode. The Todd’s in surgery, and Dr Wen looks at the monitor and says: Damn, we lost him. The Todd: I’m not ready to give up on him… Prop his hand up! Off camera voice: What? The Todd: I said prop his hand up! The Todd give the hand a high-five and the man comes back to life. Fade back to the cafeteria. The Todd: That’s right, the Miracle-Five! Drs Kelso and Cox are sitting behind The Todd, listening to the conversation. Dr Kelso: You take this one, Perry. Dr Cox: Great moment there, dumbass. It starts out with a profound misunderstanding of how the human body works, and up with you shattering some old man’s hand. The Todd: Oh yeah! Pure gold. ---

In one of the sets (I can’t remember if it is the first or the second and I am certainly too lazy too check), there is an extended montage of the same scene over and over, with Neil Flynn ad libbing a new line each time. It’s side-splittingly hilarious, and the line they use is not always the funniest one. Another moment: Carla: What if we have a son and he wants to take dance class even though all his friends are playing football? Turk: He can dance if he wants to. He can leave his friends behind. 'Cause his friends won’t dance and if they won’t dance well then they’re no friends of mine. That would have been point perfect right there, but later… Carla: Then I said what if our son wants to take dance class instead of play football with his friends and Turk ran off singing _Safety Dance_. Elliot: That’s nothing. You should have seen what happened when I asked him if Der Kommissar’s in town. ---

Not only do the commentaries on the Season 1 DVD say that the janitor makes up most of his lines (he says it’s not because he’s a creative genius, but because he never remembers the lines they give him), but they also say - repeatedly - that the actor who plays The Todd is the actor most like his character in real life. Yes, that’s what I said. The writers, directors and actors of Scrubs say that **The Todd is really like that.** Gives me horror shivers watching him in every scene now. ---
