Just off the top of my head…

Whoopie Goldburg gets to be God in the Muppet Christmas movie.
Morgan Freeman is God in _Bruce Almighty_.
Alanis Morissette is God (along with Bud Cort, sorta) in _Dogma_.
George Burns was God a few times.

Who else got the “Big G” gig?

There was the ill-fated toon _God, the Devil, and Bob_. James Garner was the voice of God.

God is also pictured in the classic “long flowing beard and robe and sandals” in at least one Simpsons ep (when Homer gives up religion).

South Park pictures God as an icky little creature.

And if you go to the [Internet Movie Database](http://www.imdb.com) you can type in “god” in a character search and you’ll get a whole long list.

Well, isn’t that lovely.

IIRC, God is only depicted from the beard down in “The Simpsons.” He also has five fingers to a hand in at least one appearance, but I’m not sure if this is consistent.

Was Richardo Montalbon as Mr. Roarke God in _Fantasy Island_? I mean they never had him say “Hello. I am God.” But there was that episode where Roddy McDowell (I think) showed up and went all evil with the red lights and little horns on his head and he said that Mr. Roarke was his “enemy” or something. But that could just mean that Roarke was a big time angel because they never said Roddy was the Ultimate Evil. Unless they did. I don’t remember it all that well.

So maybe Mr. Roarke was God, and by extention Richardo Montalbon. Or not.

In the new, and thankfully short-lived, Fantasy Island, I heard Mr Roarke was Satanic. heresay, for sure.

Rex Ingram starred as you-know-who[his actual title was “de Lawd”] in the movie “The Green Pastures”. It was an all black cast, and showed what life would be like in Heaven, as well as fleshing out a few of the more recognizable Bible stories.

So add Harry Shearer to the list of those who’ve played God.

You created a completely unnecessary thread just because you thought it was fun to waste bandwidth?

Oh, the [South Park “God”](http://www.transload.net/~sparkwheel/faith/god.jpg) is always depicted as a _perfectly nice fellow!_ It just happens that, in his “natural” form, he happens to like eating flies. (No joke.)

He’s also a Buddhist, apparently. But he only lets Mormons into Heaven.

You’re wasting bandwidth complaining about a thread you’ve no interest in?
