I’m trying to get into the dorms for next semester. I finally got an email back (on the third try), saying the application is on the website. Huh-uh SURE. I check again on the Housing site. Let’s see, I’ve got info on what’s in the dorms and how to pay. I’ve got what the process is - plus another link to what’s in the dorms. Okay, I need this other account. Fine, did that. No application there either, but it has a link back to the Housing site! Why is there not a big link saying APPLICATION?! This is STUPID. Why is this shit not organized? If I was supposed to have this damn account when I started going here why did no one tell me? ARGH! ---

Definitely let the office know that it’s hard to find (gently). I hardly ever visit our department website, and when a student tells me there’s an issue accessing something, I’ll ask our IT folks to fix it. Oftentimes someone says, “Ask Joe to post a link,” and Joe is minimally involved with anything regarding the department. Sometimes I wish we could just post our own links, etc. ---
