What annoys me beyond the capacity for reason is the drooling toolbags who pop in with “Godwin’s Law!” no more than three posts after someone mentions Hitler or the Nazis because it’s somehow the wittiest thing they’ve ever done. The only thing worse is when people allude to it but are to chickenshit to come out and say it, which is the basest form of idiocy (e.g., the link in the OP). The worst cliches in the world are not necessarily the ones that make the most egregious comparisons. No, the worst cliches in the world are the ones that allow the witless to pat themselves on the back for their cleverness over, and over, and over again. Give it a rest, and give everybody a break. ---
