Kittens are cute. Unfortunately, they tend to change into cats. Well, that’s not entirely unfortunate. Cats tend to produce kittens, which are cute. ---

I’ve always wanted a cat, but my sister’s severely allergic. She has had reactions by standing in a house which once had a cat that was now gone. So, no kitty for me… ---

I have a cat and a dog. The cat’s name is Sovtek. He’s named after one of my husband the guitar player’s speaker heads. The speaker head is black & white. So is the cat. Get it? Funny, huh? I have TWO black and grey swivel chairs with armrests. I can even take the armrests off if I want to. Can’t deal with cats. Had three and all three of the ungratefull little bastards died within two days of each other. Old age I guess. Made good soup though. ---

Full height cube walls still don’t come up to my shoulders. I have a red and grey swivel chair with armrests **and** an office with a door. Not to mention two visitors’ chairs in blue (one of which is actually free of piles of papers). On top of that, I’ve got my own 5-drawer file cabinet and 4 bookcases (2 low, 2 high). I am jealous. my company is moving today… I currently have 11 boxes, and 2 cubes (each partially used) 1 green swivel chair with armrests (although one is torn), on empty desk, and a HUGE file cabinet. Visitors to my cube(s) get to sit on a metal stool (it was abandoned in my cube a couple weeks ago and I’ve adopted it) Of course all of this is currently spread all over 2 different buildings All of this, and we are still expected to work… (obviously I’m not taking that suggestion too seriously.) ## -Pandora the frazzeled “If we knew what we were doing, it would not be called research.” - Albert Einstein ---

I want to talk about cats again! I had cats all my life growing up, and in a house I shared with some other roomies up until about age 25, no problems. Then didn’t have a cat for four or five years, and now, BOOM! I am **profoundly allergic** to any and all cats. What’s up with that? My desk chair has fabric backing, and has been completely invaded by hair of the dog. The Incredible Shedding Dog who never stops losing hair, year-round, and never seems to run out. * * * Give me immortality, or give me death! ---

I’ve got a bright green inflatable armchair and a horrible dorm chair. The seat of the dorm chair doesn’t seem to be quite attached to the chair itself, so it slides forward, slowly. About once a week, I have to lift it off and put it back. ---

Milo, I had the opposite experience. I was pretty allergic to cats for most of my life. Then my ex and I got a little kitten. After about a week, I wasn’t allergic to her anymore, but was still allergic to other cats. Now, a few years later, I still have the cat, and am not allergic to any cats at all.
