If anyone else is going to Oregon Science Fiction Convention this coming weekend, you can find me in the Hospitality Suite holding court. Just mention that you’re a Doper, and the beer or hard cider is on me. 🙂 ---

Yes they do Arden. 😛 My roommate is heading up there for it. ---

An _excuse_ to get plastered?!? Orycon, in the heart of the Brew Belt, is Plaster City, bucko. We’re gonna have dark brews, light brews, hard cider, and I’m personally bringing two bottles of Tullimore Dew. ---

According the program guide and the other blessed multitudes that have attended the Con in the past, the Con is a multi-tracked star-studded masterpiece with programming from Friday morning to Sunday evening, a dealer’s room filled with rare and wondrous goodies, and filking that rivals anything you’ve ever seen and/or heard. It’s just that _I_ enter the Hospitality Suite on Friday morning to help set up, and don’t escape it until the Monday Morning Carpet Rolling Ceremony. 🙂 ---

The “Oregon Science Fiction” Convention? Might get a small crowd for such a specific convention? Here’s what I picture them having: Stranger in a Strange Portland by Heinlein. I, Salemite by Asimov Or the trilogy: Red Salem Green Salem Blue Salem by Robinson. Astoria Trek? Actually I’m just jealous cause I can’t make it. Have fun. ---

Thank you Czar! Who else loves Goodwill? I love goodwill. You can get the weirdest, coolest stuff there that you wonder where the original owners got it from. Once I saw a shirt there, and it said orycon. It was an awesome shirt, and i got it. I’m always asked, whenever I wear it, what Orycon is. Now I know! Thank you! what was it? orycon 17? lemme check. Orycon 19. '97.
