I read something long ago(I think it was Ripley(not a reliable source,I know)) about a civil war soldier that got his scrotum shot off in battle.The sperm covered ball continued it’s journey and struck a woman in the female parts resulting in a pregnancy.  
Is this a true story?

no. (i mean… the bullet could have done all those things except fertilization. shamelessly being the town whore caused the fertilization.)
