Actually, I have to say that what I minded least about Ashcroft was his singing. I think he’s a fairly crappy songwriter (if his “Let the Mighty Eagle Soar” or whatever it’s called is a representative example), but he has a decent voice and he knows how to sing. If he had spent the last four years leading the national anthem at ball games, I wouldn’t be upset about him at all. ---
