I have never,ever been accused of being bigoted or anti gay. The people I know would be shocked to think the peanut gallery is accusing me after being fired up by saying poodle haircuts are faggy. Your conclusions are absolutely 100 % wrong and insulting. ---

Of course, if you could actually wrap your head around what people are actually saying then you probably would have already apologized and this thread would have been over on the first page. Also, if you were bright enough to actually understand what people are saying you wouldn’t be nearly as annoying as you are…and then it wouldn’t be you. C’est la vie. -XT ---

Gonzo, other than a string of posts at the beginning of this thread where I point out various things about your posting habits, I’ve stayed out of this discussion. I think you need to know that it \*appears \*that you still don’t get what the fuss about. No one is accusing you of being a homophobe or intentionally offensive because you used the term “faggy”. What people \*are \*accusing you of is being an insensitive lout because the term “faggy” is offensive to gay people - _whether you intended to be offensive or not._ ---

For what it’s worth, I really don’t think Gonzo is a bigot. An idiot of epic proportions, possessed of such negligible analytic and self-reflective ability that he evidently goes through life with drool on his chin and a vacant, bovine look in his eyes? Sure. But not a bigot. ---

I have to say, when you set aside your temptation to be offended at any thing a person says, **gonzomax** is truly hilarious. This thread delivers. It took me five pages, but I finally figured out who gonzomax reminds me of: Michael Scott from the US version of the Office. **FinnAgain** , I think you blew it with your dialogue. You didn’t capture the character of gonzo. I’m not convinced he can go that long in a direct conversation without posting a so-called “drive-by link.” Allow me to help capture the character. You are making me come down on the side of what has been my most skipped over poster, damn you all. However, the crux here is they are making a PERSONAL observation…not a categorical one. It’s the difference between calling someone lazy who IS lazy (an individual) and calling all Hispanic lazy spics. I have my own prejudices and blind spots. One of the major one’s I’ve had to overcome in fact is my (irrational and stupid) prejudice against all things Spanish. It was part of my own upbringing and one of my greatest failings, and it’s taken me years to overcome my knee jerk reaction…thanks in no small part to posters here on the 'dope who have pointed this (as well as myriad other) flaw in my personality. They HELPED me by being so critical.
