Town’s win condition is all Scum and all hostile third parties dead, right? So wiping out the Scum team (which, heck, may have just happened) isn’t enough, is it? I’m wondering about the Thirds’ win condition: Do they win when the Scum are wiped out (in which case they’re really close, and Town should be worried), or do they need to survive until the bitter end and wipe out everyone else (in which case, Town’s got plenty of time to find them)? Or do they have some other esoteric win condition?

I didn’t quite know how to fight against it on your behalf and I sort of thought it might be a good idea to let it happen without fighting it so I could examine the wagon after and I didn’t have a solid case ready to go in it’s place, but it was a crap wagon.

Well, I knew the case sucked (obviously), but I’m not too shook up about it. I don’t have a long Mafia history, but what I do have mostly involves me putting my foot in my mouth; so I wasn’t surprised when things turned against me. And under the circumstances, with no other real suspects, the Town could have done a lot worse.

I’m really not seeing that, **Rysto** (at least where **Oy!** is concerned). If we can trust **Drain Bead** (as you seem to, and on which I agree), then someone definitely gave her a flower, and **Oy!** claimed a PM which said she had a flower to give out. So someone on the Scum team would definitely have a flower power, and either they were given a false-claim that mentions a flower, or they managed to make up a false claim of their own that looks like it came from **Story** , or **Oy!**'s PM is exactly as written except for alignment, and none of those really seems plausible to me.

Myself, I’d probably be voting for **Normal Phase** right now. I don’t think it’s any secret that I absolutely hate soft claims, and now **Normal** is further claiming to have had extremely valuable information and not said anything about it. If she knew that **Mahaloth** was telling the truth about taking a census, then she really should have shared that earlier, given that he was under a lot of suspicion. And if that’s the most useful piece of information she’s gotten, then it’s not like she’s really risking much by telling all. The only thing I can figure is that her character is hyper-alert and aware of all actions taken which affect her (like **chip** ’s protection and **Mahaloth** ’s survey), and is hoping to see someone doing something nefarious to her, but that wouldn’t work, either: The Scum team probably doesn’t have the numbers to spare on anything nonlethal right now, even if they don’t figure that it’s a bad idea to target her.

Before I get spoiled:

I would be money that Oy! is newbie town and not scum. I think it is highly likely that McGinty is PFK but unlikely that she is scum and I am leaning heavily toward non town for both lilflower and TexCat, though I don’t know what flavor of non town.

Also, Normal Phase is wrong in her last post about claims, but that actually makes me think she is more likely town than not. I have been going back and forth on her all game in my own mind, but I think her anti claim attitude makes me lean town on her.

She is wrong though. A mass claim is silly and will cause more confusion than it gains information, but any investigators who have viable investigations (that is key) should be coming forward right now, and if there are any masons they should mass claim now as well. Any masons who claim after toDay should be lynched to prove their existence.

Basically, I don’t believe **lilflower** ’s claim, and given the previous thing with **peeker** and **story** which seemed to indicate that the scum know the identity of a PFK, **Oy!**'s reaction makes me think that she’s scum.

Thing is, though, once the masons and investigators are out in the open, what point is there in anyone else staying silent? The reason that folks don’t all claim on Day 1 is to allow the power roles to stay hidden so the Scum (and SK) don’t know who their priority targets are, but once the masons and investigators are out, the killers will have plenty of priority targets. Yeah, it’d make it a little bit harder for a Doctor to decide whom to protect, but they were unlikely to succeed in the first place. I don’t see that that really outweighs the benefit of the extra information Town gains.

In this game based on the claims we have seen already I think a full mass claim will just add to the chaos without adding much benefit. Investigations are tangible, masons verifiable, and anyone else who _wants_ to claim should feel free, but an organized push to claim will be a net neutral for anything other than investigators or masons, maybe even a net negative (see below). In that situation at this point in the game, I don’t know that it is worth the trouble when you get the benefit from the smaller claim anyway.

Also, in a fully claimed situation a doctor is a higher priority target than a cop, investigated townie, or mason so they have even more reason for them to stay hidden. And the person who is killing off scum is doing a bang up job, and might want to stay hidden as well.

Meh, I still think **Mahaloth** is scummy, especially after the votes for Brewha after his role claim.

Ooh, hard information!

First of all: I can’t remember, was **peeker** still alive at the time **Wanderers** claims to have been blocked? If not, that pretty much verifies **brewha** , since I doubt that Scum would have two roleblockers. If he was, though, then **peeker** might have made the block and told hypothetically-scummy **brewha** whom he had blocked.

Second, even if **peeker** was alive, **brewha** can still be tested. What he should do is block **Stanislaus** (and say publicly that he’s doing so). That’d confirm that he’s a roleblocker, and hence, since the Scum roleblocker is dead, that he’s Town, which is probably more valuable than anything **Stanislaus** ’s power would do on its own. Or, of course, the power could go through, give us another number, and incidentally also prove **brewha** a liar.

Third: The number-investigating masons is a really cool idea. It looks, though, like it was developed early in the game development, before it was decided that this would be a reality show instead of a movie.

Fourth: I wouldn’t vote for her now that she’s claimed Mason, but **Normal Phase** still really needs to make with the information. Right now, she apparently knows the number of one of the killers, but hasn’t shared it: If she’s killed, it won’t be of any use to **Stanislaus**. And she also knows of something that didn’t happen on or before Night 1: It’d be worthwhile to know just what it was that didn’t happen then.

From the game thread (i.e., not spoiled info) Normal Phase has stated she has two valid investigations. On Night One there wasn’t anything to investigate. Night Two she discovered the code for someone who tried to kill someone (Telcontar). Night Three was nullified. Night Four she confirmed that someone did what Mahaloth claims to have done.

By my count, she has supplied all possible info.

I guess I lost track of the Nights. She’s still sitting on whatever it was didn’t happen on Night 1. And technically, she hasn’t said what **Mahaloth** ’s number is, though I suppose that that doesn’t really matter much.

On **Natlaw** , if he were a normal doctor, I agree, he shouldn’t have claimed. But with the ability to use multiple protections per Night, it might work out better: He might plausibly protect _all_ of the semi-confirmed toNight, and thereby almost guarantee a stopped kill (and a Doctor stopping one kill in the whole game is doing pretty well). Or he might scare the Scum/SKs into thinking he’d do that, and force them into shrinking the unconfirmed pool instead of going after the many outed powers. Additionally, he might be running low on talismans, and decided that he needed that bonus one (for which he needs Town cooperation).

One thing, though…
