> Of course, a movie CAN overcome a bad title, if the movie itself is so amazing that the title becomes its own thing. Apocalypse Now

How is that a bad title? Seems eye catching to me.

However, it perfectly fits the OP, which is that the retitle is not as descriptive, beyond my own personal dislike for it.

Could’ve been worse. She (or the studio) could have called it _Scarface_.

I’ve cited this one in previous threads: **Reindeer Games**. The plot: “After assuming his dead cellmate’s identity to get with his girlfriend, an ex-con finds himself the reluctant participant in a casino heist.” So, there’s…deer?

I love horror movies, and their titles can be wonderfully descriptive. You know what you’re getting with **The Texas Chainsaw Massacre**. Or **Psycho**. Or even **Three On A Meathook**. Some are very straightforward: **Piranha** , **Alligator** , **The Killer Shrews** , **Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer**. But they also swing in the other direction: **I Drink Your Blood**. **The Woman**. **Aftermath**. **Inside**. The French **Ils**. And there are some unbearable puns out there: **I Dismember Mama (May She Rest In Pieces)**. **Chopping Mall**. And oh Jesus, **Gingerdead Man**.

Submitted without comment: **Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Momma’s Hung You In The Closet And I’m Feelin’ So Sad**.
