# Good beat making/music creation software?

So far I’ve been working with Acid Sonic Foundry. It works very nice, but I’d like to start making my own loops/beats, rather than just using the ones they provide. Preferably not too advanced, as I’ve just started to create electronic music.

I think the 800lb. gorilla of electronic music making is Fruity Loops. I love playing with it and you can do quite a bit with it. The tutorial is pretty decent, too.

If you have money to spend, try [Reason](http://www.propellerheads.se/), an excellent piece of software for writing and sequencing. I’ve been giving it a go the past few months, and it’s incrediably powerful.
