I don’t expect you to say anything. I am quite serious, but you don’t know how business is done. I have $10,000 to bring to the table, you have nothing. I don’t have to do anymore, you do. And your credibility is falling apart because you don’t need my $10,000 as an incentive, a real hoop snake would be worth much more. Anyone can say they’ll go out and get a hoop snake if the reward is there, I’m not going to sit down and talk to each one. I’ve made the offer, it’s not the first prize I’ve offered here on the Dope either. Go get a hoop snake, because you’ve got nothing at the moment. ---

Seems to me you are the one interested in a hoop snake. You’ve already stated you want to catch one. Why do you need to “confirm” a reward? I guarantee you that an actual verifiable cryptid will get you money and notoriety regardless of what anyone on a messageboard offers. Meanwhile, the world is apparently empty of hoop snakes, but full of people with strange obsessions and people who are trying to trick other people out of time and money. Why should anyone spend time or effort arranging an online chat? The movie _Field of Dreams_ prominently featured the phrase, “If you build it, they will come.” That applies here – if you have a (real) hoop snake (or any other cryptid) fame, scientific interest and a book/movie deal will follow. Until then, however, people will be very wary of spending their time or resources on such a longshot. ---

Your truculence in this matter tells the rest of us that what you really want is for someone to send you a preliminary sum as proof of good faith, something you are unwilling to offer by catching the darn thing on your own. ---

And more to the point, if hoop snakes really were common as dirt around wherever your friend is, we’d already know about it because really, an entire area infested with a cryptid that no one in the field of herpetology knows about because none of the inhabitants can be bothered to pick up a camera? Questions like "why do you need to confirm the reward blah blah whatever I already answered them on my previous posts. You ask “Why should anyone spend time or effort arranging an online chat?” I ask you, If you are in my situation, somebody out of nowhere posted in the forum saying he will offer you a $10000 if you find a hoop snake, and that’s exactly what you are waiting for, would you just simply say “yes ok i’ll go hunt now” without even confirming that person? without knowing his name, his nationality or anything about him? think about it man… ---

Make an effort to understand dude!..If those people who will going to hunt the hoop snake would have the same mind set as you are, then there would be no problem and I would not post something like that here. Raymond Ditmars posted a $10000 reward for anyone who can provide an evidence for a hoop snake. But he already passed away more than half a century ago. Now the problem is I want to confirm if the reward still exists or not. If they already canceled the reward, then there will be no hunt. But if the reward still exists then I want to know how to claim it supposing the snake will be captured. THAT WILL BE ALL.
