# Good German restaurant in Sacramento area?

My boyfriend’s 21st birthday is next month and I had been planning to take him to Sudwerks in Davis for good German food and beer. (He doesn’t really like beer unless its a good Bavarian-type beer like he had as a teen visiting Germany.)

Tragedy upon tragedies, Sudwerks has changed ownership ( :eek: ) and now serves pasta, sanwiches, blah. We went there recently and were not impressed.

So does anyone know of good German restaurants in the Sac, CA area? I’d be willing to drive about as far as an hour away.
