Good movie concepts that got trapped in Production Hell

Two words: Wonder. Woman.

I had once heard that Murray was willing to do it IF he was killed off early in the movie and spent the rest of the time as a ghost.
I for one would like them to do GB3 but use the original premise that Ackroyd and Belushi had- in the future ghosts are common pests and the Ghostbusters are as common as the Orkin man…then a really big supernatural threat pops up

Mark Frost’s “The List of Seven” was apparently “sold” to Universal, but nothing came of it. This ripping yarn tells of young Dr Conan Doyle’s encounters with eldritch creatures & fiendish plots. And of the mysterious, brilliant detective who impressed him so greatly.

Going 'way back: Ingrid Bergman wanted to play the lead in “Homer’s Daughter” by Robert Graves. This was while she was exiled from Hollywood for “immorality”–becoming pregnant out of wedlock! Hollywood forgave her & the movie was never made. (The movie of “I Claudius” was never made, either. But the BBC eventually acquired the rights & did well by it.)

I read something about a possible GB3 the other day at Rotten Tomatoes. It sounded like Ackroyd was still on board, but the only other name I remember mentioned was Ben Stiller.

Oh yeah, Rick Moranis too… Here’s the link dug out of my history: Ghost Busters 3 Comes Back to Life… Again

Not much info there really.

(Bolding mine) Is this a whoosh? Otherwise, bad idea.

Eight - 10 years ago, I used to love the Corona Coming Attractions site – a nice clean list of all movies in development (by stage, including “development hell”…perhaps that’s where the term came from?), with updates as they happened. (It was where I first heard the news about LOTR, back around 1997.) Now the site is virtually unreadable. Is there a some other good site with this kind of stuff?

Plans for a “Doom” movie have been around since just after the game became a big hit. A couple different movie studios had the rights to the film but canceled production early on, then nothing happened until around 2002 when they started making the actual movie.

Elfquest.
