# Good music for a wrestling ring announcer?

I’m the ring announcer for the local independent pro wrestling promotion. I’ve typically headed out to start the show in silence (well, as quiet as an gym or arena full of people can be).
But lately, the PTB with the promotion have started announcing my entrance: “Here he is–your announcer for the evening–Spoons!” Then I make my entrance, do a “victory lap” outside the ring, high-fiving everybody, then climb into the ring and start the show.
Problem is, that the PTB are asking me, “What would you like to be your theme music while you do your victory lap?” I’m stumped. Dopers, do you have any suggestions?

If you don’t have a favorite that you thinks suits you, I’d go with something recognizable from a popular band from the area. Are there any well-known Alberta bands that you like?

How about “Fanfare for the Common Man”? If your victory lap is more of a dignified stroll, that would fit.

If he’s going to do that, he should slightly change the lyrics for a wrestling event and then do them himself while walking around the ring.

Isn’t that mostly for WWE discussions? I don’t really follow WWE closely, though some of our wrestlers do. But maybe I should have a look.
