This is some weird shit. So, Tigress, you read on a message board that your boyfriend has suffered a near fatal car crash. You’re scared shitless, of course, so you call him. He answers the phone, and then you JUST HANG UP??? I mean, no reaction of relief whatsoever? No notice that anyone is writing a bogus story about him on the SD? What the hell is going on here? ---

I don’t know who wrote the thread about Brat in an accident. I seen him on the 9th car fine, nothing wrong with him. And I just called him to make sure it didn’t happen after he called and said he was going to bed. ---

I don’t know what the fuck is going on around here, but I don’t like it. Why would someone lie about being in a car accident? Not a very funny joke if you ask me, and believe me, I’m holding back right now so I don’t come off like a bitch in case it is true. I must say though, the whole thing sounded a little fishy to me, but I didn’t want to look like a jerk and say anything. The thing that bothered me the most was how Odz knew to come here and post, but didn’t mention that Brat asked him to in case something happened to him. I know others had doubts as well. I’ve been away for the wkend and just start reading all these threads about Bratman . It’s been said before and it’ll be said again but **WTF**? This is easily the strangest shit I’ve ever seen on the board , actually IRL aswell . Bratman said before that he doesn’t have a comp. at home so he posts from work so hopefully he’ll be popping up soon to fill us in . This is f\*\*\*ed up in the extreme no matter what way it turns out . 😕 ---

I am going to assume that **BratMan** is really alright since **Tigress** says he is and **BratMan** has acknowledged that **Tigress** is his girlfriend so we can take what she says about this at face value, but this thing smells fishy. According to his profile, **BratMan** hasn’t posted since **07-08-2000 04:23 PM** , the evening before the supposed accident. Normally **BratMan** posts everyday, so why would **Odz Bopkin** start the [Bad News About BratMan007](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=30250&pagenumber=1) thread at **07-09-2000 10:02 AM**? I mean **BratMan** could have logged on the minute after he started it and debunked the whole thing, so why go to the trouble? And **BratMan** still hasn’t logged on. It would be nice to think he was out enjoying himself yesterday, perhaps even with **Tigress** , yet if that is the case, she found time yesterday to log in and post to the [Does anyone have a problem with me?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=30180) thread, so where was our **BratMan** then? I didn’t post to the bad news about **BratMan** thread yesterday because it just didn’t make much sense that anyone would would want to take a printout of a thread to a guy in the hospital. A box of chocolates, a skin-flint magazine maybe, but a printout? Doesn’t make sense. Things still don’t make sense, but hopefully **BratMan** will post here by the end of the day and we can unravel this situation. ---
