As someone pointed out to me, Netflix in fact didn’t have anything to do with _Good Omens_ and since it’s not getting another season, it was in fact canceled. So their petition worked… from a certain point of view. ---

This argument about accents is starting to remind me about the thread regarding whether or not you can change a character’s race. Puerto Ricans are US citizens. The “Puerto Rican accent” is an American accent. It may not have been the American accent you imagined the character having when you read the book, but it’s just as legitimate as any other American accent. ---

Also, her mother had a distinct accent, and some of that might have rubbed off even if she grew up in (I think?) Malibu and never left until she went to the UK. ---
