I consider much of what [Kate Bush](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/radio-station-selections-and-playlists/805519) does “prog rock.” Excellent prog rock, IMHO. ---

Since Yes was mentioned, how about Empire? Empire was the second band formed by original guitarist Peter Banks after he left Yes. I know it’s been a few days, but I LOVE this song… And when I first listened, after a few seconds, I didn’t think much, but I’m glad I listened to this all the way. There’s a dozen songs by Curved Air I am just discovering, thanks to this thread, so thanks, and check this out if you have 5 minutes. It’s a great song, and a great vocal. **Curved Air - Dance of Love** [![](https://img.youtube.com/vi/8-ypK91vPlU/maxresdefault.jpg "Dance Of Love (Remastered)") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-ypK91vPlU) ---

Plenty of great Curved Air songs out there, or Sonya’s two Acid Folk albums were good, too. And there’s [Panic Room](http://www.panicroom.org.uk/home.html) (youtube link), a current UK group. I was pretty impressed with the vocalist, especially, when we saw them a few years ago. ---
