# Good, recent bumper stickers

Sometimes context is everything.
Yesterday I saw an older model, faded red GMC pickup truck with one of those big black tool boxes bolted to the pickup bed. Mounted on either end of the box were life-sized human skulls, tinted dull green. There were two translucent decals in the rear window, one a Confederate battle flag with the stars replaced by skulls, the other reading “Steelers”.
On the rear bumper was a “Kerry for President” sticker.

Not an actual bumper sticker (although I’ve thought of making one up and sticking it to my office door)–a comedian many moons ago was making fun of the I [heart] my [picture of dog breed] bumper stickers and was imagining other combinations. My favorite (well, actually, the only two I can remember) were “I [club] my [baby harp seal]” and “I [spade] my [cat].”

I remember seeing in some cheesy catalog where you could buy rolls of stickers that were either hearts, clubs, spades, or screws. Change “I [heart] my [dachshund]” to “I [screw] my [dachshund].”
My favorite bumper sticker: Honk if you’re Jesus.

I’ve seen the cat one. There was a spay/neuter clinic giving them away when you had your cat spayed.
