# Good review/news sites for console videogames?

I figure this straddles some sort of hazy boundary between Cafe Society and IMHO. So it’ll probably be like picking a checkout line–ostensibly 50/50, but somehow always wrong. 🙂
I’ve used [www.bluesnews.com](http://www.bluesnews.com) as my primary central spot to get news and links to reviews and such for PC games. The problem is, it doesn’t cover consoles at all.
Ideally, I’d like some site similar to Blue’s, for the console sector of the gaming market. Failing that, what are some of your favorite review sites for console games?

I still visit IGN everynow and then, but their ads drive me nuts so I drastically cut back how often I visit.

Check out [www.gamerankings.com](http://www.gamerankings.com) which is a meta-review site ,like [rottentomatoes.com](http://rottentomatoes.com), for both console and PC games. Great one-stop shop with a collection of linked reviews for each game.
It also has some highly useful filters; eg. if you want to check out the best-reviewed PS2 RPG in the last 6 months, the best-reviewed sports game over all platforms in the last year etc.
