Lotsa holes to fill here… Most if not all Dire Straits songs…besides what was previously nominated, I would like to add “Brothers In Arms”, “Telegraph Road”, “Once Upon A Time In The West”, “Sultans of Swing”… Pink Floyd - “One of These Days”, “Echoes”, “Time”, “Money”, “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”, “Wish You Were Here”, “Sheep” Van Halen - “Hot For Teacher” - the brothers were working overtime on that one… Rolling Stones - “Miss You” Offspring - “Come Out and Play”, “Gone Away”, “Gotta Get Away”, “All I Want”, “The Kids Aren’t All Right”, “Special Delivery” Peter Gabriel - “San Jacinto” There’s more of course, but I got stuff to do… ---

I like the beginning of the (sort of) new Matchbox 20 song, Disease. It’s some kind of cool guitar effect or something. The song isn’t so great, but I just like the intro. [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/good-song-intros-or-this-song-is-going-to-rock/201037.md?page=4)
