My favorite song with awful lyrics is Aerosmith’s “Kings and Queens.” It sounds epic, until you read the lyrics…and realize it is absolute nonsense. You have to shut your brain off to enjoy the song. It sounds epic at least.
“Long ago in days untold
Were ruled by Lords of greed
Maidens fair with gold they dared to bare their wombs that bleed”
Another favorite in the Beatles “Only a Northern Song,” its lyrics are deliberately terrible. But its bass line is killer.

For me its saved by the (unintentional - but left in) twist at the end where Desmond and Molly switch roles…and maybe switch something else.
