I just found out via e-mail that one of my favorite musicians, Doug Sahm, of The Sir Douglas Quintet & Texas Tornadoes passed away in New Mexico yesterday. He was beautiful and a wonderful musician. :::sniff::: Thanks for the music, Doug! You’ll be missed. ---

Oh, no. Farewell Texas Tornados. What has passed is a ton of South Texas musical history. I hope someone had the foresight to get DS to write down some memories–or record some conversations. ---

Yup. I’m Obituary Woman at the paper where I work, so I put the line in our Chronicles. Age 58, cause of death not yet known. Sigh. Catrandom
