# Goodbye for a while from a Dopeaholic

Unfortunately, I have come to the conclusion that this board is taking up way too much of my life.

During the day, instead of working I am reading and posting to the SDMB. As a result, the quality of my work is suffering and I am probably not going to make some deadlines. In the evenings I come home and go straight to my computer, and my time with my family is not what it should be.

I really enjoy the community here, and I have learned a lot about tolerance and respect (as well as intolerance and disrespect), and I have made some friends here (hopefully not too many enemies).

However, in order to get some semblance of order back into my life, I’m going to have to give up the Dope cold turkey. I don’t think moderation will work for me (at least not right away). So for a while at least I won’t be posting here any more.

I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas (or Happy Holidays if that is your preference), and I’ll see you around later.
