# Goodbye Michael, this is your mother - Mike Nichols, RIP

Reading his obit I didn’t realize how much he had directed. Amazing career. But I still think of the original Nichols and May sketches.

Nichols was a semi-distant relative of mine; I have a cousin who looks just like him. RIP, Mr. Nichols.

The post total for just 5 participants in this thread is almost 80,000, with an average of 15,000. Even allowing for one\* _ahem_\* slacker, that says something interesting about the Nichols fan club. I’m just not quite sure what.
