I’m pretty grumpy about it since I was about to finish a game with a friend with the score 308-305 and 5 tiles left. Now we’ll never know who would’ve won. ---

Scrabulous on Facebook was a way to feel like you were “hanging out” with folks you haven’t talked to since high school and “do something” with them like play a game of Scrabble over a 2-week period. I thought it was a cool way to connect with my buddies. Heck, it helped me connect more with my own _brother_! And don’t suggest that we tell everyone to go over to [Scrabulous.com](http://Scrabulous.com) to play, because playing wasn’t the point. Facebook is like meeting at the mall every day with your pals and visiting random shops on a whim. Telling everyone to go to [Scrabulous.com](http://Scrabulous.com) is like requesting everyone go to the standalone Orange Julius across town. So sad ☹ ---

You can go in via [scrabulous.com](http://scrabulous.com), if you’re there to play scrabble and not socialize. I am told (in the concurrent MPSIMS thread on the same subject) that that playing scrabble isn’t actually the point. ---

I’ve been playing the real Scrabble for the last couple of weeks, but my friends don’t seem to like it as much. Too much animation is the main complaint I get. It’s just generally slower than Scrabulous was. But I think I can get used to it. Come over to the dark side, **eleanor** … ---

If playing scrabble isn’t the point, why don’t you do something else on facebook? Anyway, the downside is that today the scrabulous site is incredibly slow. Played someone today who was there for the first time because of the shut down of facebook…terrible, terrible lag. ---
