ok, i know that donald is a duck (duh)! mickey is a mouse. pluto is a dog. but what is goofy? and why does goofy walk upright unlike pluto if goofy is a dog too? why can goofy talk unlike pluto? this is one of life’s most important debates! help!!! ---

You see, Walt Disney was engaged in bizarre genetic experiments involving anthropomorphizing various animals. He was successful with a mouse and a duck, but with the dog, something went wrong and the critter ended up with a little brain damage. Meanwhile, Pluto remained a plain ol’ dog.
