I saw the [thread that inspired it](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=359494), so there’s more to it than that, and I’ve definitely seen evidence that it goes beyond the OP and picks up all the content of the thread. I think Montana is a tricky choice though. There’s not much location-based advertisment about Montana going on, I think. As I mentioned in the other thread, if the topic of the thread were something like web hosting, or restaurants, you’d see a lot more user IP based advertisments going on. So, a thread with an OP of restaurants restaurants restaurants restaurants restaurants restaurants restaurants restaurants restaurants restaurants restaurants restaurants restaurants Montana would probably bring up a lot more advertisments for local, restaurant-related things. ---
