Google is paying tribute to John Lennon today on what would have been his 70th birthday by including his famous self-portrait within its logo. But that’s not all. Clicking the play button next to the logo reveals an embedded video which plays animation based on Lennon’s sketches and accompanied by a few seconds of Lennon’s peace anthem “Imagine.”

It can also be seen on [YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYHCeUfoAnw)for those of you who can’t get it working on Google.

We share the same birthday, though he was 29 years older.

Huh, I just realised that means I am older than he ever got to be. That’s weird.
