I could juuust tolerate having every obscure 178th birthday of such and such visual artist “celebrated” with some fucked up version of the Google logo, because at least it changed once and then stayed that way all day. But now, as I have Google as my home page for convenience, every time I open a new browser window I see a _different_ fucking cartoon version of the Google logo based on one of the most [moronic](http://www.google.com/logos/2011/hargreaves11-hp-16.jpg) pieces of animation I’ve ever had the displeasure to view. In short, fuck that shit. ---

You can select a different background image and it will always be that (click on “Change background image” down toward the bottom left of the page). Or, you could set your homepage to igoogle and select the “Classic” theme. I have igoogle and I have to go look for the special art/animations if I want to see them. ---

Yeah, it’s sorta dumb to have Google as your homepage, or go to the Google homepage ever, “for convenience” when the convenient way is to just type your Google searches directly into the address bar (which works in either Firefox or Chrome. I don’t know if IE has caught up to the times yet). That way, you can have something interesting as your homepage instead and you’ll never have to see the silly logos. ---
