Sylva, North Carolina. Population 2,500. Known for it’s annual Hook, Line, and Drinker festival as well as being the Trout Capital of North Carolina. And not much else. Except for a few weeks in the spring of 2016 when filmmaker Martin McDonagh used the town as the filming location for _Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri_. The Google Street View car happened to be rolling through town on a day of filming, and [caught the storefronts transformed into the Ebbing Police Department (complete with fire damage) and the Ebbing Advertising Co., sans broken windows.](https://www.google.com/maps/@35.3736178,-83.223527,3a,75y,152.94h,88.36t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s2Z6kfCUOpgtPcwMKCsSQaA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656) This is one of my personal favorite finds so far. ---
