The + no longer works, but you can get exactly the same functionality by enclosing the word in quote marks.
Old: “groundhog day” +murray
New: “groundhog day” “murray”
One extra character is not a big deal…
I’d love to find out something has very recently changed, but it’s crazy to me that there’s no good way to attach files in your Drive account to a Gmail, short of sharing the file or downloading it and attaching it.
I think the way they want you to do it is to share the file from drive.
…which I mentioned, and is dumb. Try convincing an insurance rep to jump through the extra hoops to access a claim form as opposed to sending them an attachment directly.
Or how’s about this- sending out a resume. It’s a stupid extra hurdle, and impedes user experience. And I say this as a fan of Google in general, especially Android.
