Anyway, what I wanted to ask is if any of you tried the new pop-up blocker on Google’s search engine, and whether you liked it or not.

I use the popup blocker and I like it. It’s very quiet and simple to control.

I assume you’re talking about the [Google Toolbar](http://toolbar.google.com/). I love it! It’s blocked 691 popups for me since July 3. I’d been using the toolbar for web serches for quite a while, and the addition of this feature makes it an unbelievably useful tool.
