FTR I find DDG’s googling a great asset to the boards. As other posters have already mentioned, there is an art to it and she is rather good at it. Not only that but as far as a ‘gimmick’ goes it’s a pretty damn useful and respectable one. The only issue I would think would even be open for discussion about her is her “mothering” of the boards but she does have good intentions and that discussion is probably best left between her and the powers that be. I hope this comes to a good end as it does suck to see two valuble members of the community at each others throats. Just my oh-so-humble opinion. Well, I lied, I’m back. I wasn’t feeling so well, so I left the hospital early. Visiting my girlfriend there tends to have a moderating influence on me. She’s doing better, and that makes me feel a little, I don’t know, friendlier. I am also feeling unhappy with myself, honestly, for getting on **DDG’s** tits, as much of a Crusader for Justice as I may feel that I am. I didn’t start the mess, and I rather wish I had restrained myself. Though it would be dishonest to retract anything I said, I still feel badly having said it. Then when I got home, I saw a notice over my mailbox. Javier, my mailman, just passed away. Yeah, I know this is pretty fucked up, but it really did make me think of this thread. And yeah, I know this is banal, but it did remind me that, even in my relatively rarefied world, it is superior to be nice than to be right. RIP, Javier, and I hope you, **DDG** , sleep well tonight. As much as I may disagree with some of the things that you do, I am sorry for using this opportunity to air grievances in such a distasteful manner. I’ve been a member of the SDMB for only a couple of months. In that time, I’ve seen lucidity and kindness that lifted my heart. I’ve seen humor so clever that it made me proud to be human. This thread, however, sickens me. A lot of damage has been done here for no good reason that I can see. ---

As a last note that I just know is gonna get me flamed…When I first started to notice **Duck Duck Goose** posting pretty much nothing but google links, I thought it was a bot. I also have to say, in all honesty, that the OP was right on point in that the majority of **DDG’s** posts are nothing more than google links. That gets real old, real quick. ---

God damn it amazes me to know all these feelings have been _lurking_ this whole time. I hate it when long-time posters go at it. Fucking _crazy_. Some day I’ll be pitted, it is bound to happen, and what people are going to jump out at me then for saying shit almost two years ago? Work your shit out sooner, people, lest it stain your fucking soul. As is bound to piss at least one poster off, I have nothing else to add to a thread that seems more or less done to me. ---

It’s not her job nor does anyone expect her to answer every GQ, remind people of board rules or turn newbies into Jedis. She wrote an OP in the correct forum stating this. **DDG** came in. She had the opportunity to argue her case and chose to do it in the manner of a **CRorex** baboon, flinging feces everywhere with bared teeth. Ergo, this thread ---
