It seems to me that **DDG** tries to be helpful in promoting discussion, in exactly the same way that moderators often do. In my own personal experience, **DDG** ’s input is always helpful. It isn’t always right, but it’s always helpful. **DDG** is getting ragged on for for it, in _exactly the same way that moderators often do_. But **DDG** is being put in an unfair situation. Don’t rag on **DDG** ’s ass as a proxy for ragging on a mod’s ass. Rag on a mod and get banned by all means. Don’t rag on someone _else_ who’s just trying to be helpful. ---

It was partially written, but the only things changed were 1. some bolding tags cleaned up and 2. the final paragraph added. Since it’s a long post in a long thread, it seemed more sensible to just clean it up than re-post the finished version. I’m sorry that it caused confusion. Hey **Desmostylus** I believe that **Hamadryad** may have been referring to where the mods DID say that **Duck Duck Goose** was acting like a so-called “junior mod”. Whether or not she can ban doesn’t come into it. ---

Geez. This is why I generally avoid the Pit. I wish I’d never have opened this thread. I further wish I’d have not read it all. Why? Because there is now a long list of Dopers that I previously had held in high regard, but now hold very little respect for them. The Pit (and this thread) once again confirms for me that the percentage of judgemental assholes in the human population is shockingly high. ---
