Ok, the selective reading is making me crazy. Everyone who keeps saying “this thread is vile” needs to reread the OP and then reread **DDG’s** second response. Seriously. **Jar** had, _as well as others_, an issue with **DDG**. She wrote a restrained OP. **DDG** came in, guns a blazing and blew up. That’s your ‘meltdown’, ladies and gents right there. When she was questioned by anyone, including a mod, she gave histronic answers. “But who will answer all these questions? I want cites! It’s not fair!” and so on. If **DDG** feels it’s her job to answer every GQ/remind people of rules/lead the newbies, that’s her perogative. If I’m annoyed by it, that’s mine. ---

Well seven pages …Two big posters page for page in a steel cage match. …A couple of smaller brushfires of supporters/detractors. …Mods a plenty lead a charge into the fray. …Cite upon cite upon cite …Hamlet with interludes/poetic commercial breaks …and of course the chorus of ‘stop it’ ‘no you stop it’ ‘won’t someone think of the…’ Kids…put a jedi or 2 in it and we have just wrote Episode 3 for Mr. Lucas. IMHO? Don’t have one…except who pissed in everyones cheerios? On that note, how was the rest of the play Mrs. Lincoln? ---

I dug up that [moldy oldie](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=24523) just for curiosity’s sake. I don’t find Duck Duck Goose annoying. I did find Notthemama, her previous incarnation, extremely annoying. It seems like the same behaviors, except for the Googling, are being discussed now. And I’d just like to add that I only answer GQ questions where I think I have something to add beyond what can be gleaned with a Google search. I’m surprised that you think people just Google in an effort to find answers for people. To me, the unique strength of GQ is that you can get answers from actual people with actual expertise, not just unverified factoids. ---
