# Google Spreadsheet Formula: Autoinsert current date

Would someone be so kind as to teach me how get a google docs spreadsheet to insert the date the row was added? Perhaps the date that the adjacent cell was created/edited.

You need to use a script and do something like [this](https://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums.com/forum/#!category-topic/apps-script/services/_vnWVSZ47Zs).
