I discovered this feature just today and that’s…just…insane. “No, you google folks aren’t doing enough. My house isn’t hard to find. I need you to show me how to get to the _bathroom_ in my house. Whoa, there’s a picture of me on the throne! TMI!” ---

Just the other day I was able to “drive” across the top of a dam we’re studying … I could see the way the ground slopes up from the lake to the surrounding houses … it helps a lot in our work. We were able to recommend raising the dam without incurring the time and expense of driving out to the site (neighboring town). ETA: I bet the real estate folks are ecstatic. ---

Interesting. I just checked my address, and I can tell a lot from the photos. They were taken early this spring. I was at work (my car is gone from the driveway). We were having drywall work done on our house -I can see the workmen’s cars parked on the street. The Arroyo Lupines were still in bloom. My Apricot was just coming into bloom. ---

Just came across this and found it somewhat creepy. You can do a “street view” of the 35W bridge in Minneapolis (the one that collapsed a year ago) and look at it as you drive over it while they were still doing maintenance on it. Somewhat eerie.
