# Google Voice: Mic doesn't work on one computer, does on another.

I have two computers. 1. A 1 yr old laptop Compaq with Windows 7. Another is a n HP 210-1000 mini, with Windows 7.  
I can use Google Voice and speak into my Compaq built-in mic, and have a regular conversation with the callee.  
On my mini, I can speak into it the built-in mic, and the callee cannot hear me, but, I can hear them just fine. I can, however, speak into the mini’s mic, using the Sound Recorder program, and the Sound Recorder will record me just fine.  
So, have I left something undone in either my mini’s programs, or on Google Voice? Or, is it just one of those things?

On the Mini, have you confirmed that your default recording device is that built-in microphone? Maybe it got switched to Line-in by accident?
