It helps if you do it like this - “1st of january 1970” (with the quotes, and with your own date, obviously) I had this idea, and then googled mine, turns out I am exactly the same age as [Kate Hudson](http://www.hissandpop.com/celebrities/h/katehudson/) Google your DOB and provide a link to anything interesting you find. ---

The first edition of the Unix Programmer’s Manual is [dated](http://cm.bell-labs.com/cm/cs/who/dmr/1stEdman.html) November 3, 1971, the day I was born. And here’s a cool coincidence: I lived in Ames, Iowa for about two years in the late 90s, and I used to go shopping sometimes at the North Grand Mall. I remember I bought They Might Be Giants’ album “Flood” there, as well as a VHS copy of “Endless Summer” (both of which I still have). Turns out the mall [opened](http://www.lhreg.com/ng_redev/History.htm) the day I was born! I’ll be darned. And I got a bunch of mail-order brides too. ---

It seems that I share a birthday with singer Ricky Martin, All Black rugby player Lee Stensness, Pakistani cricketer Haider Ali and mail-order bride Valentina Misjuchenko - it was also the premier of the Walt Disney move “Aristocats”, which may be the greater honour… 🙂 Grim ---

“July 15 1959” has at top of the results the deaths of Peter A. Egge (a writer) and Ernest Bloch (a composer). Additionally, Perry Como had the last of three days of recording sessions for his “Seasons Greetings from Perry Como” album. There were many other results I didn’t look at. ---
