Of course, **ITD** I see your side, even though I disagree, but google does so much clever work on certain days, why not this one, my friend? I am sorry. I probably am disagreeing because I am batshit, Hon. but I have my opinions, okay? My position as a Veteran is, they should be thanked for facing enemy fire for our country. While we’re at it, I see no doodle at all, either. FWIW, Google Doodle DOES regularly mark Veterans/Remembrance Day and ANZAC Day so it’s not like there’s an antiveteran issue or a total avoidance of memorials of battle. They do better than a lot of other web businesses. Just that on 6/6/2012, wherever the OP lives, they thought of some other thing. As someone who once wore the uniform myself, it gets a big " so what?" from me. ---

Google, themselves, has said that they don’t want to do any serious commemorations, as they feel it makes those important events silly. You can disagree, but at least recognize that everyone wants the same thing: respect to our vets. Please don’t go down a path where you think a disagreement is hostility- agree to disagree and walk away friends. ---

We have circus tickets for tonight, but wow, can’t wait to head to the drive-in later this week. Screen 1 is playing Snow White and teh Huntsman / The Avengers; screen 2 is playing MIB III / Dark Shadows. For $7 a head for a double feature (and an awesome, reasonable snack bar), you can’t go wrong. ---

I still think he’s a good guy, and a fun person to have on the Dope. But i’m not going to walk on eggshells around him, and i also don’t think that the moderators should let him get away with breaking rules that everyone else on the Dope would be warned for. ---
